Après Montréal, avant Londres
Paris 18, au pied du Sacré-Coeur, cet appartement d’un immeuble haussemanien est réinvesti par son propriétaire. Le parquet en pointe de Hongrie et les modestes modénatures dans les menuiseries, une arche simple pour accéder au salon, la disposition traversante, suiffsent à caractériser le logement et inviter à une intervention minimale ; respecter l'efficacité du plan sans redistribuer ; conserver en incorporant des matériaux plus chauds et qualitatifs. Les aménagements doivent être suiffsamment légers pour prétendre avoir toujours existés ; ne pas accaparer l'attention ; ne pas empiéter sur la circulation ; redonner du confort d'usage, de la générosité et de l'ingéniosité dans le rangement.

A Stopover Between Montreal and London
Paris’s 18th arrondissement, at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur, this apartment in a Haussmannian building is being reinvested by its owner. The herringbone parquet, the modest moldings in the woodwork, a simple archway leading to the living room, and the through layout are enough to define the space and call for a minimal intervention: respect the efficiency of the plan without redistributing, preserve while introducing warmer, more refined materials. The fittings should be light enough to seem as though they have always been there — never drawing undue attention, never encroaching on circulation — while restoring practical comfort, generosity, and cleverness in storage.
